Our Young Advisors Team are a team of local young people aged between 15 and 24, who work to strengthen the voice of young people in our borough.
Through their work, Young Advisors bring unique knowledge and expertise about being young in Redbridge to help make our borough a great place for young people to live, learn and work.
The role will involve:
- Using different ways to connect with other young people in your area, making sure their voices are heard in local decisions.
- Sharing advice with professionals about issues young people face and working together to find solutions.
- Teaming up with professionals to improve services and creating new opportunities that match what young people want and need.
- Helping professionals learn how to involve young people in planning and decision-making.
- Creating easy-to-understand, youth-friendly materials and “youth-proof” information.
- Building connections with local youth groups, organisations and networks in Redbridge.
- Taking part in important training, like safeguarding, leadership, and peer research.
We’re looking for 6 Young Advisors to join the team.
Please note that this is an opportunity for local young people. Applicants must be aged between 15 and 24 (you can stay on until your 25th birthday) and either live, work or study in the London Borough of Redbridge.
