We are a small, dedicated team with a common goal: to create the conditions for strong and resilient communities where people lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
We are driven by our shared values and a passion for community-led action. If you are too, why not take a look at our latest vacancies.
Working at Community Action Redbridge is really rewarding, as you’ll be part of a team that makes a real difference to local people and communities. We offer some great benefits too, designed to support our team to thrive and recognise our employees for the hard work they do.
We know that having time off is just as important as being in a job you love. We offer a generous annual leave entitlement of 28 days plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees). We also operate a bank holiday swap scheme, allowing you to swap up to three bank holidays for another day of national, religious or cultural significance that’s more meaningful to you.
We understand that you might need a little help balancing your work and home life. We offer paid carers’ and dependency leave, and a range of flexible working opportunities. We encourage applicants to talk to us about flexible working options, which could include a different working pattern, part time or compressed hours, or hybrid working. Flexible working arrangements are subject to team and project requirements, but we’ll always do our best to support you.
Our work is incredibly rewarding, but it can be challenging too. That’s why we invest in our own health and wellbeing – it’s how we bring our best selves to work. We offer access to a free and confidential employee helpline, face-to-face and telephone counselling, physio consultations and team fitness sessions to help you stay physically and emotionally well.
For times when you’re not well enough to work, we offer full sick pay for up to three months so that you can take the time you need to recover without worrying about the impact on your finances. We also offer up to 14 hours of personal assistance with things like household chores and shopping for employees who need a helping hand at home after a pre-planned hospital stay of two nights or more.
Our employee discount scheme offers deals and discounts from a range of retailers and services to help your money stretch that little bit further.
We also offer interest free loans to help spread the cost of season tickets for public transport or purchasing a bike and safety equipment, helping you to save money and travel to work in an environmentally sustainable way.
To help you plan and save for the future, eligible employees are auto-enrolled into our pension scheme, and we offer an enhanced employer pension contribution of 5%.
Learning is a really important part of our work at Community Action Redbridge. In fact, it’s one of our values. As a member of our team, you will benefit from a supportive learning culture and lots of opportunities to develop in your role.
We offer access to a range of training and development opportunities designed to support your growth and give you the tools you need to fulfil your role with confidence.
We are committed to creating a truly inclusive workplace culture that embraces and celebrates difference. Building a team that reflects the diversity of our communities and brings together a range of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives is essential to the work we do.
We want Community Action Redbridge to be a safe space for everyone to bring their whole selves to work, where all our employees have the opportunity to thrive and feel recognised and valued for the work they do.
