Community Action Redbridge is governed by a Board of Trustees who are appointed by our members to oversee our work and the decisions we make. All our trustees are passionate and committed volunteers who give their time, skills and expertise skills to ensure that Community Action Redbridge is the best it can be.
Treasurer
John is retired after a career spanning finance, risk management, corporate governance, website development and fundraising.
He has also served as both a Councillor and Deputy Leader for the London Borough of Redbridge. He is currently also the Trustee of a community sports facility and a pension fund.
Vice-Chair
Linda is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, alongside the roles of Chair of the Thames Water Trust Fund and Director/Trustee for Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure.
She has extensive experience of supporting the Voluntary and Community sector, locally and nationally, through previous roles, including Councillor and Member of Parliament.
She has also served as a trustee of housing associations, educational establishments, charities, health and utility bodies, and as a professional librarian delivering information services for over 30 years.
Callum is currently working as an Anchor Partnership Officer for Essex County Council, which involved working with partners to create programmes and projects which support Essex residents.
Prior to this, he spent 8 years engaged in Youth Work and Community Development and gained a degree in the subject in 2020.
He is passionate about raising aspirations and supporting individuals and groups big or small. He loves immersing himself in different environments, to learn and develop his knowledge. He is also a trustee for Wanstead Youth Club.
Ann is a Home-Tutor for Children’s Services in Barking and Dagenham, a founding member and trustee of Atrum MAT and Trustee of Disability Redbridge, managing the Ilford Shopmobility service.
She is particularly interested in education and passionate about supporting families. This was ignited by her son, who is on the autistic spectrum. Fighting for appropriate support for him lead to her involvement with the voluntary and community sector.
She is also a Member of a number of local charities supporting people with disabilities, a Lay member for Children and Young People Redbridge Health and Well Being Board and member of the HAF steering group. She has also previously served as a school governor and chair of governors in the borough.
Sheila is an IT Business Relationship Manager with experience of change management and business analysis in the public and private sectors.
She is passionate about the power of community and has experienced firsthand the benefits of volunteering, having volunteered as a Steward at a local vaccination centre and as an Engagement Volunteer with the Science Museum.
Sheila holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology and a master’s degree in Digital Systems.
Maeva currently works as a Talent Programme and Project Manager at The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), where she has been employed for the past five years. As part of her role, she oversees CASE’s early career talent programmes in the UK/EU region, as well as managing the Multi-Cultural Network.
She built her professional career in education while working as a teacher, private tutor, and parental coach for over a decade, before moving into the non-profit sector. Her own lived experience and passion for creating inclusive communities where diverse perspectives are valued led her to co-Chair the organisation’s global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee, and become their Mental Health First Aider Lead.
Maeva holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and Social Science, and a postgraduate certificate in Psychosocial Studies and Education. In her free time she volunteers as a Graduate Mentor. She also enjoys long walks in nature, meditation, writing and reading, crocheting and knitting, and being the proud mother of a 4-year old blind rabbit.
