Our Health and Wellbeing Team works alongside local people and communities,

taking a community development approach to create the conditions for good health

and improve health equity.

The Head of Health and Wellbeing will provide strategic leadership and operational

oversight to the Health and Wellbeing Team, ensuring that projects are delivered to

a high standard and in line with our strategic priorities and organisational values.

The role is currently responsible for our Healthy Communities Programme,

Connected Communities Programme, and Fit for Fun Project. We also have

ambitions to grow our work with local young people, and plan to launch a new youth

participation project from October 2024 which is likely to sit within the Health and

Wellbeing Team.

As Head of Health and Wellbeing, you will nurture relationships with key partners

including the council and the NHS, identifying collaborative opportunities and

sharing learning and insights from our work to influence local policy and decision-making.

Working alongside the wider leadership team, you will also contribute to the

organisation's long-term goals and development plans, and identify and pursue new

opportunities to enhance our impact and financial sustainability.
